Update On Our Shipping

Hi everyone: Dave here with a long-anticipated update on shipping for you.
Thank you all so much for your patience as we worked this out. We deeply appreciate your interest in and support of Keshanar, and we know this has been a challenge. Here’s our solve.
Refunds: As we said in our livestream: If shipping at the time of fulfillment is LESS than the shipping we have stated in our tiers, you keep your tier, we will refund you the difference over $3 USD. Period.
Shipping outside the US:We are committed to finding the lowest possible shipping costs for backers outside of the US. Tariffs dropped right before we launched our Kickstarter and kinda blew up our entire printing and fulfillment strategy, so now we are establishing relationships with both a US and UK-based fulfillment house. These relationships will dramatically reduce the shipping costs for our backers located outside the US.
If you are an international backer, you can:
*Support us for $1 at no tier now, and then add physical goods in the pledge manager at the end of the campaign for reasonable shipping costs.
*Back a digital tier now, and then add physical goods with reasonable shipping costs in the pledge manager store at the end of the campaign.
*Create a Build Your Own Bundle now for $5 now, which gets you the 3D City of Keshanar in addition to the items you choose. The shipping for those items will become a credit in the pledge manager that will allow you to add other items, for more reasonable shipping.
With our new fulfillment partner we anticipate shipping costs (INCLUDING VAT) for two books to be $24-40 for the UK and the EU. Note that VAT varies by country and generally it is exempt for books, but it will be charged up front, so you don’t need to worry about it.
Delivery window: We are confident that we can deliver all the digital goods before the end of the year but the books and maps will take a bit longer as we are changing our printing and fulfillment partners to optimize for the new tariffs and shipping considerations. We expect fulfillment of physical items no later than mid-2026.
Pledge manager: When the Kickstarter ends, you will receive a survey asking whether you want to change your tier or add anything to your pledge. All items will at that point become add-ons within the pledge manager that you can select a la carte. The shipping charge we have already held within your tier will then become a credit you can use toward a la carte choices. Once you have made your final selections, our new (better) shipping options will apply.
In summary: My commitment to our backers is that we will make $0 on shipping. We will find new, better options by vetting new printing and fulfillment techniques, and you will pay only what is necessary at the time of fulfillment.
