Surveys
A week in and we've got right around 80% of our surveys completed. We want to thank you for your enthusiasm and super prompt response! I think I got everyone's support requests handled through email and our discord server, but if I missed you or you have any issues come up reach out at [email protected] and I'll get you sorted.
VIPs
For our pre-backer VIPs we're going to begin the process of packing and shipping your Eye of Apep dice around the end of June, so make sure you've got your surveys completed with your shipping addresses. There's about 1300 of you (I'm still floored by this!) so I'd estimate it might take us a couple weeks to get them all shipped out.
Conventions
We've got 2 pretty big conventions coming up soon where you can come see us!
Columbus, OH you can find us June 19th-22nd 2025 at booth 103 in Exhibit Hall A. We'll be running one shots Wednesday - Saturday to show off Keshanar. They're currently all filled up, but keep an eye out for cancelations if you're at the con!
Next up July 31 - August 3 we'll be in Indianapolis, IN for our very first Gen Con! Keep an eye out here for game openings.

New Limited Edition Upgrade Available!

Howdy friends! Surveys are going strong and we're already at about 44% completed. Y'all are awesome! I've had a couple issues to fix here and there, but nothing that's been too difficult to handle. Anyway, one common ask I've gotten is for a way to upgrade to the Limited Edition version of the books. So I did that. There is now an add on that costs $60 called "Upgrade To Limited Edition Books" available in the survey to Judge of Anubis and Pharaoh tiers. This will replace the normal copy of the books with the limited edition and also include the slipcase. If this is something you'd be interested in and already filled out your survey, you'll still be able to go back and change it as orders haven't been locked and cards haven't been charged yet.

BackerKit surveys are coming!

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s essential to respond to your survey as quickly as possible since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the survey invite email, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://keshanar.backerkit.com

Now that the Kickstarter is over, Marx and I will be focusing on wrapping up the content so we can get it all delivered to you. In this Update, I will be covering:

VIP Rewards
If you are a VIP and did the pre-purchase on the Eye of Apep dice – first of all, THANK YOU – and you can expect to receive those dice pretty soon. The KS will close out in about 1 week and then we can check which VIPs backed the KS and send out the dice. We WILL be sending them ASAP and not with the rest of the rewards.

Rough Estimations of Delivery Times
How much of the project is already completed?
A lot! We’ve been working on Keshanar for years, and most of the heavy lifting is already done. Here’s a breakdown:

Setting Book: ~90% complete. Most of the writing and layout is done — just a few mechanics and monster stat blocks left to finalize.

Campaign Book: ~65% complete and progressing quickly.

Total Written Content: Over 700 pages (excluding art), though some material will be held for future expansions to keep the core books lean and playable.

Art: Nearly all finished after 4+ years of continuous production. This is our largest line item expense and we spent over six figures on it.

STLs and Minis: Designed, tested, and being actively printed in-house using a dedicated mini-printing setup with high-end resin printers. Tomb Tiles are also fully tested and built to last.

Physical Goods: Anything that is not printed (books, cards, maps, etc) is already manufactured, purchased, and warehoused — including the custom d20s, canopic jars, scarabs, dice and soundtrack.

Playtesting: We’ve run nearly 1,000 hours of live games at conventions, local stores, and online. Our team is appearing at 12+ cons this year, including Gen Con, Origins, and more. We are also going to be launching playtests from the full draft manuscript in a few months so stand by for an update on that.
Our goal from the start was to complete as much as possible before launching the Kickstarter so we could fulfill ahead of schedule. The only variable at this point is book printing and shipping logistics — and we’re actively exploring faster options.
TL/DR: When is it going to happen? We want to have the manuscript in printing at the end of the year. This means that you will have the final PDFs by the end of the year and the books in early 2026.
Contests!
We just completed our 3D City Easter Egg Hunt and Bug Bounty. Some of the winners have been awarded and we are just waiting on some more information from some of the winners to announce all the winners on The Reth. We gave out about $600 in prizes (cash/Amazon gift cards) and there are more to come!
In the near future, we will be launching more contests so stay tuned.
